About Reading Untangled
I have always had compassion for those who need extra help in school. Through years of training and hands on teaching, I have found a way to help. My academic language training through Phillips Fundamental Learning Center
I have found ways to reach students who struggle to read or have Dyslexia. The training is researched and evidenced-based program that follows along with the Science of Reading focuses on phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.

A few other things about me...

​I offer Alphabetic Phonics with fidelity; unaltered yet modified to meet individual needs.

We move at a pace that benefits each individual student's needs.

This curriculum is multisensory, teaches phonics and the structure of language at both the elementary and building foundation at secondary levels.

The Orton-Gillingham approach teaches:

This training meets the standards of International Dyslexia Association and The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Counsel.

I have a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and Master degree in Special Education K-12

Taught: 9 years as an Interrelated Teacher, 7 Years Pre-k, 8 Years as a High School Para, Home Schooled 4 Children: grades 5, 7, 9, 11 & 12.

I enjoy sewing and selling small projects like lap and baby quilts, aprons and make and sell cream cheese mints for any occasion.
